Marc was wounded by a roadside bomb while serving on a Military Transition Team as an embedded trainer with the Iraqi Army.  Because of the challenges he has experienced in losing significant use of his left arm and hand, he is fully committed to mentoring a team of fellow Wounded Warriors up the mountain. Marc is an US Army officer and 1992 West Point graduate currently stationed at Elmendorf AFB, AK.  His competitive background encompasses intercollegiate and professional martial arts as well as orienteering, rogaines, mountain biking, running, kayaking, and adventure racing in all formats from sprint to expedition racing at a national and international level.  Despite his physical disability, he continues his mission as the captain of Team Veteran Leader Adventure Racing, a team which embraces outdoor expeditions and competitive endeavors which challenge the human spirit
